Cheng Yu is a consultant and researcher based in Berlin. She used to work as a visiting scholar at Social Impact Lab and wrote a series of articles about social innovation during her German Chancellor Fellowship year. She has accumulated ten years of working experience in the third sector. She used to work at Caritas Hong Kong, China Social Entrepreneur Foundation and China Foundation of Poverty Alleviation Foundation.

Cheng Yu is an active practitioner in promoting social entrepreneurship. By leveraging the resources of different stakeholders including government, foundations, corporates and research institutes, her aim is to cultivate the incubation of social enterprises and enhance the emerging market of impact investing. She is a registered social worker and holds a master degree of social science in Chinese University of Hong Kong.
