Michelle Cai

Michelle has more than 15 years experience working in the learning and development field – designing and delivering training & development programs as well as conducting talent assessment for many large international companies.
She has previously worked at Ernst & Young and Intelliex in the US and then at Accenture in China. Her clients include Ernst & Young, Cisco Systems, Turner Construction Company, Henkel, Unilever, SAIC Volkswagen, L’oreal, Roche, Manulife-Sinochem Life Insurance, and others.
As a coach, Michelle combines her expertise in adult learning & psychology from her Ph.D. study, her consulting experience, her intellectual rigor, and her genuine personality into a way of coaching that is multidisciplinary and pragmatic. She helps her clients make positive changes, achieve high performance and excellence, and develop & grow both personally and professionally. She is a Certified Business Coach by Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC) and a Certified Master Coach by Behavioral Coaching Institute (BCI).
As a trainer, Michelle leverages her instructional design expertise to make training active and engaging. Her training is interactive and practical. She engages her participants through questions and exercises/activities, stimulates their reflection and learning through effective debriefing, and at the same time, provides relevant and useful content. She has a Ph.D. in the instructional design & technology field.
As a facilitator, Michelle can custom-design effective process based on the client’s needs and the specific objectives the client wants to achieve. Her facilitation style is very logical and structured yet dynamic. She is able to facilitate the process skillfully to ensure participants are highly engaged in the the process and actively contribute their ideas, and in the end, come up with solutions and actions plans that are not only effective but also have inherent buy-in. She is a certified SPOT Trainer on Facilitation by Facilitators Network Singapore (FNS).
Michelle has lived and worked in the USA for 15 years previously and has been living and working in Shanghai for the last 8 years. She is fluent in English and Chinese.
